Round 1 : Yakimix Prime at Bonifacio HIgh Street

I availed of two vouchers for this buffet restaurant and since I was pressed for time and couldn't find anyone to join me on such short notice, I decided to overeat during lunch for two consecutive days. I will regret this when weighing time arrives.

Yakimix Prime is located at the 2nd Floor of Wumaco Building on 7th Avenue in Bonifacio High Street.

Yakimix Prime is supposedly more sosyal than the ones simply called Yakimix. If you ask me, the interiors look similar and I'm sure that I'll smell of smoke afterwards from either concept.

I arrived a few minutes before opening time and the staff were still doing the finishing touches on the buffet.

The sushi area looks so delectable prior to being ravaged by the lunchtime crowd.

More sushi on a wooden boat.

Sashimi and cold appetizers.

The name tags were sometimes confusing.

Pickled vegetables or sidings.

The cooked dishes section.

I usually skip this part of the buffet since its not so appealing.

I also have this feeling that these dishes were rehashed from the previous day.

Fried Onion Rings and Salad Seafood Roll. I will try to avoid anything that looks deep-fried.

The dish at the near right contain Kimchi Rolls. I forgot to note what the others were.

I'm assuming that customers of Yakimix restaurants prefer the meat and seafood items for grilling.

There are quite a lot to choose from.

I skip the fresh fruits section since I can buy these anytime at the supermarkets.

The chocolate fountain with an assortment of candies, biscuits and fruits.

Desserts in petite sizes.

Colorful candies and jellies. I also ignore this section.

Condiments for halo halo.

The vendo machines for beverages.

Time to eat.

Sushi and sashimi.

The raw pieces were quite flavorful even without the dipping sauce.

One of the items that is only being offered at Yakimix Prime is Wagyu Beef. I waited patiently for the refill since the moment the server places a tray on the table, customers would immediately scoop every piece.

One tray was finished immediately by two customers and myself.

I got some other kind of meat and sausages.

Thankfully, the smoke wasn't going towards me.

No rice so that I can have more protein.

Second batch of grilled items - chicken, pork and some kind of sausage.

The meats were quite tender and tasty.

The kimchi rolls were just ok. The skewered meat I chose was also so-so.

With the powdered lemonade, I had four dessert items - cassava, blueberry cheesecake, toffee banana tart and strawberry mochi.

I like the black sesame and green tea pudding. I may not have eaten a lot based on what I've posted but I was stuffed afterwards. I was contemplating whether to go back to work or call it a day, go home to idly watch TV and rub my swelling stomach. I decided to be productive so I headed towards our office.
